...Read MoreRead more about I am a year 4 owner of a Viqua IHS12D4s also use O rings that can expand and if you are not super careful on the exact location for your reinstallation these filters will leak badly at the head housing and you will be at a loss to know why. That goes for the UV light replacement O ring – the manual is sub-optimal on placement detail for exact location. That is irritating but by far the major fault of these units is the electronics of the controller. Since these expensive filter systems are primarily used in rural locations where electrical grid supply is up and down like a toilet seat any spike or drop in voltage fry’s the controller firmware. That happens even if you are using a $120 surge protector. The unit has a 3-year warranty and after that period runs out these controllers are over $500 a pop. I am on controller number 3.
